The test for our strength and resiliency is not yet over. Slowly we are accepting the new normal in our lives but honestly it is uncomfortable. When will the challenges end, we never know. Isolation and too much precaution will hinder us to grow and feel alive. The danger of this coronavirus is around the corner. Vaccination had helped assuage the paranoia momentarily but then a delta variant swept our hope to be back the way we were pre-pandemic. Now we hear the news of people dying from here and abroad. This is a test of our flight or fight response.
On the other hand it can test how flexible we are, prioritize important issues at hand, time to connect with our dear loved ones, resolve issues and conquer fear by increasing our connection. Time to discover simple things in life, look inside us what matters to us. Kindness and patience are most needed and yet those qualities should serve us first so we will not empty the cup. Caregiving will be at its best when we take care of our own physical, mental and emotional health. So start discovering the joy of life.
